Common-sense stair building and handrailing
A trade manual on stair construction and handrailing by Fred T. Hodgson, published in Chicago by Frederick J. Drake and Co. in 1903 for carpenters, joiners and building students. The plates are line diagrams: geometric layouts of treads, risers and wreathed rail sections in solid, dashed and tangent lines, plus heavy black plan cuts of newels and strings, useful as ready-made technical linework and constructed-curve geometry.
