Mechanism
Stanley Dunkerley's Mechanism, published by Longmans, Green in London and New York in 1920, is an engineering textbook on the kinematics of machinery written for university students and practising mechanical engineers. The 250 figures are line diagrams of linkages, gear trains, rolling circles and velocity constructions, drawn with hatched fixed surfaces, hatched pivot pins, dashed centre lines and letter labels, giving designers a stock of geometric motion schematics and circle-and-bar arrangements.
